City Treasurer / Finance Director

Brad Rizzo was appointed as City Treasurer effective July 15, 2025. Before serving the City of Grand Ledge, he worked as the Finance Director in Antrim County, Bellaire, Michigan. Mr. Rizzo holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University, with a major in accounting and finance. 

Responsibilities

The City Treasurer/Finance Director coordinates and performs the financial, accounting, and treasury functions of the City of Grand Ledge. The City Treasurer/Finance Director also:

  • Ensures accurate accounting of all City funds
  • Monitors expenditures
  • Collects taxes and other receivables
  • Administers accounts payable, payroll, and employee benefits
  • Manages debt issuance and repayment
