Project Summary & Location

The City of Grand Ledge, through the award of a competitive funding round with the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund, was awarded funds to bring the following amenities to Jaycee Park:

  • ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible canoe/kayak launch
  • Adding approximately 385 feet of paved, ADA-accessible trail to connect the existing Riverwalk Trail to the Memorial Tree Trail creating more than 2.7 miles of ADA-accessible, connected trails along the Grand River and through Grand Ledge
  • Improved boat trailer parking off of East River Street with the addition of three designated handicap parking spaces
  • Bank stabilization measures at the southeastern park boundary to support the viability of the land/trail systems and preservation of natural resources

Construction of this project began in mid-April and is expected to be open for the public to enjoy by late July, 2019.
