The CITY OF GRAND LEDGE, Eaton County, Michigan, will receive sealed bids for CITY OF GRAND LEDGE-RIVER AND HARRISON STREETS RECONSTRUCTION until 10:00 a.m., Local Time, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the City of Grand Ledge City Hall, 310 Greenwood St., Grand Ledge, MI 48837. At that time and place all bids received shall be publicly opened and read aloud.
General Description
This project consists of reconstruction of RIVER AND HARRISON STREETS RECONSTRUCTION; all within the City of Grand Ledge City Limits:
Construction shall include: remove and replace ramps; pulverize asphalt to 4 inches and replace hma on W River St from Harrison St to W Jefferson; cold mill 2” and replace hma on W River St from Harrison St to Bridge St and on Harrison St from W River to W Jefferson St; +/-130 square yards of sidewalk and sidewalk ramp removal and replacement; +/-500 feet of curb and gutter remove and replace in areas directed by the engineer; +/- 1850 syds at 4 inches of HMA removal on w river st from Harrison st to W Jefferson st; +/-160 cyds removal of excess pulverized material to balance (3” average); +/-1900 syds of 2” cold milling on W River St from Harrison St to Bridge St and Harrison St from W Jefferson St to W River St; +/-316 feet of 12” storm sewer and 4 ea 48” structures; +/-440 tons of MDOT HMA leveling course on W River St from Harrison St to W Jefferson; +/-230 tons of MDOT HMA top course on W River St from Harrison St to Bridge St and on Harrison St from W River to W Jefferson St; signage and traffic control, complete cleanup and restoration, and other miscellaneous work items that are normally included with the described work items.

Contract Documents for the project will be on file and available for inspection at the offices of the City of Grand Ledge, 310 Greenwood St., Grand Ledge, MI 48837; and at the offices of Wolverine Engineers and Surveyors, Inc. 312 North Street, Mason, MI 48854; Builders Exchange offices in Lansing, Kalamazoo, and Grand Rapids, Construction Association of Michigan in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
Electronic Bidding Documents will be furnished free-of-charge by registering with Wolverine Engineers & Surveyors, Inc. All bidders MUST register with Engineer by sending an email to requesting to be added to the bidders list. Registering ensures timely receipt of all addenda. Following registration, complete hard copy sets of Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office and cost will depend on the number and size of the Drawings and Project Manual, applicable taxes, and shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. Cost of Bidding Documents and shipping is non-refundable. Upon the Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.
