Grand Ledge, MI, July 13, 2023 – Due to the recent, significant amount of rainfall in a very short amount of time the City of Grand Ledge has experienced two sanitary sewer overflow’s The locations are East River Street Manhole #211 and West River Lift Station. Manhole #211 overflow started on at 12:52 A.M. and West River lift station started at 12:45 A.M. Both overflows occurred on 7/13/23 and concluded the same day at approximately 1:55 A.M. discharging a total volume of approximately 5,000 gallons. The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), and local health department have been notified accordingly.
