It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we share with you the passing of Mayor Thom Sowle, on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Mayor Sowle had been serving as Mayor of the City of Grand Ledge since he was first appointed in 2018 and later was elected to this position in 2019. Prior to serving as Mayor for the City of Grand Ledge, he was elected and served on City Council representing Ward 3 from 2012 through 2018.
We ask everyone to please respect the Sowle family's privacy during this extremely difficult time. Arrangements for Mayor Sowle will be handled by Mills Funeral Home in Grand Ledge.
Mayor Pro-Tem, Keith Mulder, has been sworn in as Mayor, per the City Charter.
