False Invoice Scam Targeting City of Grand Ledge Affiliates
GRAND LEDGE, MI, September 23, 2025 - The City of Grand Ledge is alerting all community members and affiliates about a recent scam involving fraudulent invoices being sent under the “Grand Ledge Planning Commission” name. The fraudulent invoices are designed to be official in appearance, using the City’s logo and operational information. These invoices are NOT legitimate and are NOT authorized by the City of Grand Ledge. The City does not issue invoices in this manner.
If you receive a suspicious invoice from the City, please:
- Do not make an immediate payment.
- Contact the City of Grand Ledge immediately to verify the legitimacy of the invoice by calling City Hall at 517-627-2149.
- Report the incident to the Grand Ledge Police Department at 517-627-2115.
The Grand Ledge Police Department is actively working with authorities to investigate this matter and prevent further fraudulent activity. Protecting our community and local businesses is a top priority.
