• A preconstruction meeting was held on August 4, 2025, for the Jaycee Park Playground Improvement project.
• The project started the week of August 18, 2025. The construction area is CLOSED, but the rest of Jaycee Park is open to enjoy.
• Layout has been staked.
• Excavation for the lower retaining wall has been completed. A layer of stone was discovered during excavation. Between 7” and 16” thick. SME was notified and recommended that 21AA aggregate be brought in to stabilize the base before pouring foundations.
• Playground equipment has been delivered on-site.
• Construction fencing has been placed around the area designated for playground equipment storage.
• Storm pipe was exposed. It was confirmed that the pipe was abandoned and filled with flowable fill upstream of the previous playground area.
• SESC measures appear to be maintained in good order.
• 21AA Crushed concrete aggregate material is stockpiled on site. After the time of this observation, Moore Trosper confirmed that 21AA limestone will be used in lieu of the crushed concrete as the site is near the river.
• The wall foundation has been poured.
