Funding

In 2022, the City of Grand Ledge received a grant for Phase I of the Grand Ledge Ball Field Project in the amount of $134,700 from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund, administered by the Department of Natural Resources. Grand Ledge Youth Baseball, a more than 50-year-old nonprofit committed to helping young people through participation in organized activities, like baseball, provided $30,000 in matching funds in support of the project.

In 2023, the city received critical gap funding of $212,694 from the Eaton County Parks and Recreation Community Grant Program. Due to the success of this competitive funding request, the city was able to progress with the development of Phase I, which will be open to the public in the summer of 2025!

Thank You!

The city continues to have tremendous support from the community to bring all phases of the Ball Fields project to fruition. For their financial support and/or donations, the city would like to thank:
