General Information
The City Clerk conducts all federal, state, county, local, and special elections held within the City. All registered voters in the City vote at:

For all elections, polls are open from 7 am to 8 pm Anyone standing in line at 8 pm will be allowed to vote.

Photo Identification Requirement
Before you can vote on election day, you must provide photo identification. If you don't have acceptable photo identification with you, you can still vote by signing an affidavit stating either of the following:
- You don't have acceptable photo identification.
- You have acceptable photo identification, but didn't bring it to the polls.
Permanent Absent Voter Ballot List
The City Clerk maintains a list of voters who request an absent voter ballot be mailed to them for every election held in the City. A change in Michigan Law now allows for any registered voter to receive an absent voter ballot without submitting an application for each election. Voters who want to be placed on this list may fill out the Permanent Absentee Voter Ballot Request Form (PDF) and return it to:

Election Workers

PUBLIC ACCURARY TEST
The Public Accuracy Test demonstrates that the computer programming used to tabulate the votes cast on election day meets the requirements of Michigan Election Law and accurately counts the cast votes. MCL - Section 168.798
