The Zoning Board of Appeals hears appeals from decisions of the Zoning Administrator concerning interpretation and implementation of the Zoning Ordinance, and application for variances from the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance.
It is a seven member board, with two alternates, made up of City residents appointed by the Mayor for three-year terms expiring the second Monday in January. Members of the Zoning Board of Appeals must be City residents for two years prior to being appointed and one member must be a member of the Planning Commission. The Zoning Board of Appeals meets as needed, in the Council chambers, City Hall, 310 Greenwood St.
